This neckpiece was part of a body of work made for Gilded Encounters at Hadley's Orient Hotel in Hobart in 2028. It references the Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen and his ship The Fram. Amundsen stayed at Hadley's Hotel on his return from the Antarctic.
The neckpiece is made from fine silver, sterling silver, alabaster, gold foil, and antique gold lacquered silk thread.
