Precious, useful, discarded

I like to work with discarded materials and fragments.  I made earrings from marine plywood provided by a local business as waste material, setting them alongside brass fittings.  I engraved words into the wood, cutting and forming it into these fragment shapes. Patina highlights the text but also preserves and embellishes the work. My use of gold tint questions what we value and why.
