This artwork is made from vintage colonial bottles which are formed into an imagined 'chatelaine' for the nine convict women who lived at Narryna historic house in Hobart as servants during the 1800s. Narryna is now part of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Inside the bottles are letters written to loved ones left at home in England, Ireland and Scotland. The letters tell of hardship, of fear and the occasional good tale.
