Purple Plains
In October in the central highlands of Tasmania this little plant is in full flower around the sides of mountain lakes. Fantastic vivid colour and great shaped flowers. You have to brave the snow to see them but what a sight!

For those of you not in Hobart here is the view looking up into the amazing beam of light which is the work of Ryoji Ikeda. I think all Hobartians will miss this lovely beam of light every night.
