Shadow places 2- neckpiece by janine combes
I create wearable expressions of identity and belonging and sculptural works in which I use the forms and techniques of contemporary jewellery to re-inhabit vintage household objects and materials. This neckpiece is part of a set of such works made using escutcheons.
It is currently on exhibition at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston, Tasmania as part of Precious: excellence in contemporary jewellery (8 Jul- 1 October 1 October 2023).
