Webb's Ice-House brooch
This brooch is part of a body of work made for Gilded Encounters at Hadley's Hotel in Hobart 2018-2019. The photograph is by Jess King.
The brooch is made from Alabaster, sterling and nickel silver, topaz and stainless steel. John Webb managed a series of ice-houses on Mount Wellington in the 1800's which were used to supply ice to Hobart town.
