Claiming the pole for the King of Norway

This neckpiece was exhibited as part of Gilded Encounters exhibition (2018-2019) at Hadley's Orient Hotel in Hobart. This neckpiece was made from carved and polished buffalo horn, gold foil, fine silver, sterling silver and alabaster. It celebrates the stay of Roald Amundsen at the Hotel after he discovered the South Pole.

It is now in a private collection.
