Tasmanian artist holds an exhibition which engages the viewer in history, place and belonging

Tasmanian artist and Jeweller Janine Combes recently filled the Plimsoll Gallery in Hobart with contemporary jewellery and installation works, which evoked a sense of abandoned places, unspoken histories and questions about belonging to place. Combes works with abandoned objects and materials, re-inhabiting these objects with words, patina and other materials.
