This artwork was made for the Gilded Encounters exhibition at Hadley's Orient Hotel in 2019-2020. This neckpiece was based upon the Antarctic explorer Roald Amundsen and his stay at Hadley's Hotel. He sent a telegram to the King of Norway to notify the King of his success in getting to the South Pole. It is made from alabaster stone, gold foil, sterling silver, fine silver, and gold lacquered antique Japanese silk thread.
