Embroidering the past
This installation piece was made for the Hidden Histories exhibition at Narryna Museum in 2020. Letters written to the 'homeland' of England are buried in the neckpiece - voicing secret, unsayable thoughts about colonial society. This piece is part of a series which speak to a quiet rebellion by women marooned so far from their homes.
