A ticket out of here
As part of the Hidden Histories exhibition at Narryna Museum in Hobart in 2020 I explored the idea that convict women may 'rise above their status'. Calling cards were part of polite society so I made each of the assigned convicts stationed in the house a calling card. However, the convict shackles are never far from mind, the convict stain is hard to wipe from the record.
